editor’s note

Well no one can accuse us of incessant emails, in fact thanks for all the emails asking when the next newsletter is! Soon……but there have had to be priorities with getting the new web site happening and I’m almost there. We don’t want to pester you with incessant emails but if you come back to Galaxy Guides on a weekly basis there is always lots of new news, events and recipes.
what’s hot ……is new! I realised after the success of our advance email for the David Thompson dinners at Jolleys Boathouse Restaurant that you are all early adopters. All of us support our restaurants and favourite wine companies and we reckon we deserve to know first and frankly get the best seats!

You can help by sending this to like minded friends and asking them to subscribe. The more traffic we have the better it looks for the future of Galaxy Guides.

cheers Ann

do we need a recipe for a
decent gin and tonic?

probably not, we are after all obsessed with food but don’t you wish a few more restaurants paid attention to something as, supposedly simple, as a decent gin & tonic!

into gardening

we love this book, so bloody gorgeous and so damned useful click here for the review

this week’s restaurant review; The Currant Shed Restaurant at McLaren Flat. Generous wholesome home–̵style cooking and Hoffmann’s terrific wines plus a couple of their mates. Add,wine is served in decent glasses for almost nothing! Desserts are delicious!
The bonus at the moment you can pick limes straight from their lime grove at the front of the restaurant for just $4 AUD per kilo. Unwaxed and straight from the tree, what difference!
