editor’s note
there is nothing hot about this
but unless you all want to see our wine regions, already struggling to improve their tourist image, fast food outlets will scar the entire country’s wine regions.
from the Barossa action committee
BAROSSA HUB DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION
TO BE HEARD NEXT TUESDAY AT 5.00 PM
The development application for a McDonald’s restaurant in Nuriootpa will be heard by the Development Assessment Panel at the Barossa Council Chambers on Tuesday evening, 5th October, 2010.
It is imperative we pack the Council chamber to bursting point that night to reinforce to the DAP, Council Executive and planners that there is broad and intense opposition to this proposal on the grounds that it clearly contravenes the Barossa Council Development Plan. This also represents your chance to support those who will speak at the meeting in opposition to the development.
The Barossa community urges everyone to turn words into action and get to the Council Chamber in Barossa Valley Way Nuriootpa by 5pm, next Tuesday.
