In 2006 with our first (and only) hard copy Galaxy Guides Adelaide 2006 we decided that we wanted to acknowledge and celebrate those mad individuals in the South Australian food and wine industry with a philanthropic bent. These are the individuals who take on something because it is a passion, fund it endlessly with money or time or both and ultimately achieve something that is completely unique.
These individuals bring to the food and wine industry and society at large something special, something that would most likely not exist without their energy and idealism.

OBSESSED AWARDS FOR 2008–2009

Obsessed awards have been postponed until the New Year. With so many national and local awards announced in July and August it seemed best to disengage Galaxy Guides, especially since we only list ’the best of the best’ in our guides our Obsessed Awards are intended to draw attention to those individuals who are just that, obsessed!
