FOOD A lot of Asian vegetarian can be quite strange, like for instance Vegetarian Delight on Port Road where most of the vegetarian food is shaped to resemble seafood and carnivore. We still go there occasionally but more to enjoy their fabulous shrine than the food which is quite eccentric. Vegetarian Garden, in the Renaissance Arcade, just off of Pulteney Street on the other hand is serving simple but delicious and very inexpensive vegetarian/vegan food with nothing on their menu over $8. Their Vegetarian Curry Laksa and Vegetarian Soup noodle are both good. They do a special of a choice of three dishes from their bain marie with noodles or rice for $6.80 and we really like their mildly chilli braised eggplant with rice. This is simple vegetarian food generous and inexpensive with plenty of good flavours.
